SC or Turbo by infiniti and covered by warranty?

I was at West Houston Infiniti and the service guy and sales person was telling me that infiniti is coming out with something that will bring the hp up around......340
They said that it will be made for the coupe but modified to fit the sedan.
Has anyone else heard about this and if this is true....It doesn't void the warranty. How bad *** would that be!!!!!!!

This is when Nismo will hopefully be releasing there parts. The rumor has been circulating for a while.

From what we've been hearing....nope. It will be able to be ordered through the dealer and put in by the dealer. Also will be covered under factory warranty.

Depending on how the dealer interprets the Nissan guidelines, if they have any. Will more than likely void, power and drive train warranties if done by you. Questionable on what they would cover if done by the dealer.
We just have to wait and see.

Merlin.

P.S. the factory warranty is the whole point of NISMO and infinti r-spec parts. If it wasn't there, ther'd be no reason to buy these parts over regualr aftermarket upgrades

My dealer's parts dept. says they will not order or support NISMO parts. Does that suck or what?!?!?!?!

Re: SC or Turbo by infiniti and covered by warranty?

I just spoke with the parts department at Glendale Infiniti and they said they will support NISMO parts and the Infiniti R-Spec line of products.

They said availability for the Infiniti R-Spec products will be early next month. Is this true?

Re: SC or Turbo by infiniti and covered by warranty?

Stewa101, my dealer is Austin Infinity in Austin, Texas. I hate dealing with them since they are the only one within 150 miles. Does anyone know of a dealership in Central Texas that does not have a stick up their A§§, and will support the idea of extra cash flow in their pockets? What are the guidelines set by Nissan/Infinity for dealerships for supporting warranty on NISMO products? I hate my dealership....

Re: SC or Turbo by infiniti and covered by warranty?

If Nissan Corp. says Infiniti will support Nismo products then the dealerships have no choice but to install and honor the warrenty on the Nismo products...

I'm sure the guy you were talking to has no clue about this and soon as they parts are released, i'm sure he will have to eat his words...
