Springs Installation

Guys, just bought some springs online for the sedan. Just wondering what I should be expecting to pay to get them installed somewhere. I just got quoted $180 here in Houston and kinda thought that was pricey. Is this right?

$180 is a good price. If you ask around you might be able to get someone to do it for like $150. Call places like brakemasters or Midas if you have them in Tx.
I paid my friend who is a mechanic $150 to do mine and my oil pan spacer. The fronts are typical and the rears are easy.

Sounds about where most places would charge you if you don't know anyone. Some places will be around 150 (carboy) or there are even cheaper places at 100 or less (advanced garage). Both are in Houston, just giving you a heads up.

150 is a very good deal compared to what I have around here. the book time is like ****ing 4+hours. All the shops out here go by book time. bastards.

My dealer ($$$$$$) wanted $100/corner... plus alignment would run another hundred. $500 for install... ouch. Not in this lifetime.

most places out here won't even install parts that aren't purchased through them due to insurance reasons

That's NOT pricey at at all. Like most said, most shops charge book time which is a HUGE ripoff. As long as they are a reputable shop, go for it.

Mine was $300 with alignment but they also had to purchase a sway bar bolt due to my bogged spring install. DIY spring install is not as easy as it sounds.

Do it yourself - going slow with someone else its 2hrs. Just find someone w a floor jack and an impact wrench and you are set. No need for spring compressors. You do still need an alignment afterwards though - so save the $$ from installation for an alignment

That's a prety good deal. I paid Woodlands Performance & Suspension $200 to swap all 4 corners, stock suspension to stock Sport Tuned Suspension. And they were the clear low bidders on the job.
