Price for 2004 - Good/Bad?

I've been looking at used G35 sedans for a couple months now and finally decided on one that I thought was a good deal given the mileage and options, but after reading some posts on here I'm thinking I didn't do so well. Any feedback would be appreciated.

2004 G35 Sedan, silver, black leather
Premium Package
Sport Package
DVD Navigation
16k miles
CarFax Certified
CarChex Inspection checked out with 100% excellent condition

I paid $27k. That was honestly the best deal I found. Several others on eBay, cars.com, autobytel.com, autotrader were around the same price, but with more mileage and/or less options.

Thoughts?

I have a 2004 DP G35 Sedan with Premium and Sport (no NAV) and 26500 miles, and I'd be happy if I sold it at 27k (granted I don't have the NAV system or the really low miles).

In all seriousness, I think you got a good deal. Edmunds.com estimates the dealer retail value for your car to be about $26900. (It gave me about $24984 for dealer retail.) Ratings were done assuming the vehicle is clean (not outstanding).

Now onto the more important question(s). Where do I start with mods? I assumed already the clear corners and would like to put a rear spoiler on it (what is best option for this?).

Suggestions for the following?
- chrome wheels
- K&N?
- Can I display movies on the Navigation system?

Dood that is a decent deal considering navigation and low mileage. there are better deals out there but wtf.

Wheels: look at the "show me your wheels" thread stickied at the top of the forum.

K&N: Z-Tube + JWT Pop Charger!

Movies on Nav: goto the tech forum and look under the audio video forum there is a thread stickied all about doing this.

Most imporrtant: Learn to use the search feature! Explore! There are already answers to all these questions.

Welcome to the FAM.

oh yeah, you also have sports package which adds to the price. your G is super loaded.

Do you have 6MT or 5AT?

I have the 5AT, kinda had to get that since my wife will be also driving this and REALLY did not want the 6MT. It'll be somewhat of a commuter vehicle so comfort for her was part of the deal.

The price you paid seems to be dependant on where you live. In more populated areas, the prices seem to be significantly lower. G35s overall, seem to have a decently high resale value. Things to consider is that you could have bought a new 06 "base" with a 6MYT, leather, HIDs, sport package, and LSD for around $31K and probably at a lower interest rate. However, to get an 06 like yours would have cost $36K. As long as your happy, that's all that matters. We've all been there.
