Thanks for all of the feedback. I did take it to another shop and they aligned the car. I called the dealer and they never heard of this issue with alignment...the service guy actually referred me to the shop where I got the alignment...referring me to another shop is a little unusual for a dealer but he was really cool and into muscle cars.

I still need to take pics of the car, it's been raining here non stop for several days but it looks clear today so I'll try to get the pics posted asap.

Thanks again.

Yeah... I'm not sure WHY people are going to a 245/45 when they should be going to a 245/40. Yes I know that it requires a 8.0 wide wheel but unless you are tracking your car, it's really a non-issue.

245/45's are too tall and the sidewalls are too soft. Go lower, not higher folks.

I was going to go with the 40 series tire but I put a lot of miles on the car and comfort was a big part of my decision. I've got over 20 k miles in less than a year...

Do you think the the 40's ride/drive any different than the 45's with regard to comfort etc? If not, I'm going with the 40's next time.

Go with the 40s next time, you will be happy. I had the 45 on my car for 15k miles and the 40s so far for 3k. I was driving them around 40psi while I was doing some hard driving and the ride was fine.
