Angry Alignment question/New H&R Sport Springs

Hello,

I just installed H&R sport springs on my 05 Sedan and was told I needed to get an alignment...so I went over to Les Schwab to have them align the vehicle. The tech came out and told me I had to take the car to the dealer for the alignment because his computer would not allow him to proceed due to special tools that only the dealer carried. He mentioned vehicles equipped with radar or laser cruise control systems, advanced stability systems etc. may require special procedures and tools to properly re-calibrate the system after the wheel alignment.

Is everyone taking their G35’s to the dealer for wheel alignments?

Thanks in advance…

I've had a couple of people ask me to post so I'll take a pic next week. The car dropped about 1.1 in the rear and 1.3 in the front. Still rides nice...

the h&r springs are those the one on the stillen website that are for the awd model? i was told that was a misprint. i called h&r and the model number comes up for the fx35. i also called stillen and they said that they do fit the g35 awd. does anyone know if they can be paired with the oem shocks?

I just called them ... they looked into it .. it is Definitely a typo .. It is for the FX and will not work on an X (or may work on an X but never been tested).

I will continue with my OEM 350z spring install and post my results next week.

I have the H&R's on my RWD sedan and have had two alignments in the last 9 months with no problem. That is total BS. Do you have larger wheels? Some shops don't have the guides that fit larger than an 18" wheel.

There was some talk of the AWD so I wanted to clarify. I would not have a G if it were FWD...
