But since they cost 3X what a "regular" blade goes for, just how long will they last? 3X longer, or just the same - e.g. 12 months??
Consider keeping the stock ones if they still work "ok" (like mine) and swap them out in the summer months. That's what I am going to do since these are alot more than a regular blade would cost.

Doesn't anyone just get wiper refills instead of the whole blade anymore? I have noticed in a lot of stores all you can get is the entire blade - this seems like a waste of money to me. Or am I just a cheap bastard?

I remember when there was such a thing as a "VCR Repair" man.

$40 seems like a good deal of money for wiper blades but if they perform as claimed for a satisfactory period of time I am sure they are worth it.

For now RainX keeps my windsheild clear enough that I hardly use the wipers anyway.

just bought and installed them.

I picked them up at Advance Auto Parts. Installed them in the parking lot.

They look nice, and I'll report back as soon as it rains.

Any wiper chatter with these yet?

That's what I'm trying to get rid of. I also bought the Trico Innovation blades that are aerodynamic and shaped to hug the windshield. I thought it was perfect, until it started chattering like hell. No luck. Any one used them enough to comment on the chatter?

sounds good. Let us know if it starts chattering after a few good drives in some rain. Thanks.

well exactly is chattering?

Since i got these new blades, they are perfect. Even when it doesn't rain and my shield is dry, if i turn the blades on it glide smoothly acrross my wshield. None of that rough gliding i guess u call "chattering" effect. And when i droved it during the rain, it left no streaks on the driver side. You know that line mark that is left by the passenger blade on the driver side when it rain with a bit of moisture, the mark fades away slowly but it annoys me. These new blades dont do that. These are the standards of what blades should be now.

Yeah, chattering is when it doesn't glide smoothly over the windshield. It sort of bounces over the windshield and makes a noise. On mine, it does it mainly on the way back down. I've dealt with this since the beginning. Tried 2 different types of blades before with no luck. Complained to the service dept., and the SA's advice was to clean the windshield with water and vineger. That worked for a few wipes too...before the chattering started again.

Anyway, most new blades I buy don't chatter for a short while. It's only after a few times driving in the rain that they start chattering. My Tricos just started chattering after about 10 hours in the rain (over a few days)...it's been rainy in Chicago lately so I've been using them. They were smooth and quiet at the beginning.

If these Bosch start chattering (or not after a few uses), please let us know. if they don't, I'm willing to drop the $$$$ for them. Damn chattering!

Edit: Look here for past "chatter" problems: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...hlight=chatter

I have never heard of any chattering problems with these blades nor have I ever experienced them with mine. I also heard that they work GREAT in the snow as well.

Anybody ever try the Michelin wiper blades? They sell them at Target.
