Utec works fine on G35's fitment is tricky and Apexi controller=headaches on the G/Z.

APEXi controller = headache, period (although I picked up the NEO, not sure if it's any better than the others). That's why I'd rather go with an ECU.

Does the UTEC come with the software and everything I need to program the thing myself?

How did you fit the Utec under the dash?

The utec was basically put in the same place as the cars computer (they sit back to back). I have a sedan and the only thing thats barely noticable is the utec hangs down maybe an 1.5"-2.0" below the cover under the glove box but, it's black not noticable and does not interfear with feet (i have a clumbsy 13 year old with size 10's and he hasn't kicked it). I'll be at G/Z day Reaceway Park if anyone wants to check it out. DG sedan PA plates.

4fun, how has the performance been, still worth the investment in the UTEC and tuning? Thanks.

this is 4fun but from home, thus the different user name. absoultly worth the $. I'd do it over. The UTEC basacally makes all your engine mods work together to make the most HP and tq. If you're thinking about FI or more mods wait till you are done bofore paying for tuning. the only mod i have that you don't from your sig is a stillen dual exhaust.

4fun said,"(i have a clumbsy 13 year old with size 10's and he hasn't kicked it). " You left a word off. Having raised some of those clumsy teens myself, I know that you have to add the word,YET to that sentence!;-)

Doesn't the ECU reset the tunning after a while? I think I might actually consider this over osiris since I've seen people around here in PR selling it for around $275-300 vs the $700 for osiris since I can't get the reflash that they do for you via email. Any thoughts?

Lol! My bad didn't notice the dates on the posts. But the only reason I'm considering it over osiris is because price, plus I think more people will be able to tune UTEC since it's more common and used in more than one car. Correct me if I'm wrong I just want some info on this because I want a tune and contacted Osiris but they told me that I cant get the reflash via email because of where I live since altitude and everything is different, so I would need to but the tuner which is $700 plus pay some to tune it if it is that they know how to. If the UTEC was removed from a 350z will everything fit right away? I've seen a couple of people selling the UTEC which they removed from their 350z with cables and everything.

Osiris is the way to go. UTEC is still a piggyback and doesn't do as much as the Osiris does. It's nice having multiple maps at your fingertips, as well as all the other functions the Osiris does including the simple ones like throttle control, etc...
