but what is a 350Z duct ?
where does it goes ? the exhaust part or the intake part?
is it really a exact duct on 350Z?

I got mine at my local Nissan dealer's parts department. If you search around, you can find the part number and then order the part online, or from a Nissan dealer. Prices are generally better on the internet, though my dealer came down to match the price on strictlyZ.com - $80. Most people are finding 1-2 week shipping times.

smooth transaction. Hope all the hype about this mod is worth it. Will be using the K&N drop-in filter with this.

 

Let us know! I'm considering this as well but haven't seen much hard evidence of improvement.

I haven't seen much hard evidence either. Rather than spend a lot of money on a full CAI system, I opted for the 350Z tube and a K&N air filter. The G35 already has a very good intake system, but the inlet tube is full of baffles to reduce sound. The Z tube is like those found in proper CAI systems. I've found that the Z tube with K&N makes for much better throttle response, a nice growl, and when the hood is up, a intake hiss that sounds like a supercharger. Very nice and less than half the cost of a Stillen or Injen system.

OR
Rectangle flat K&N filter that goes in the stock box?

I'm sorry but what's the difference betw/ the z-tube and the 350z duct? Humor me please.

 

Same thing. Depends on whom you ask. Just the z-tube is needed. A new one should come with the hose clamps. The change-over can take as little as 3 to 5 minutes. Easy mod. Mainly for sound, but some feel it in their 'butt dynos'. Remember though- louder usually is interpreted by most as an increase in power (the placebo effect is quite pronounced )
