I just noticed that on the G35 pics on Yahoo! and Edmunds, that the rear words "INFINITI" are different than what's shown on the Infiniti website. Seems like older models (what's shown on Yahoo! and Edmunds) have the letters spaced close together on a separate small panel, while the one on the Infiniti website (2nd pic that comes up) has the letters much more spaced out. My black/black '03 6 spd has them like the pic on the Infiniti website, and it rolled off the assy line in late May. I'm guessing the smaller-spaced lettering was done on the early '03s. Did anybody else notice this and/or can anyone provide any additional insight into when Infiniti made this change?

Hi there -

Infiniti changed the trunk lid on the 2003.5 and later models, and on the coupes. Only the original 2003 Sedans have the small square in the middle of the trunk with the lettering. It's an easy way to tell who has a 2003 and who has a 2003.5.

Personally I like the original better, but alot of folks like the trunk without the square, or as it is known on alot of forums, the "doggy door".
