07 G35S video on cnet.com

Go to www.cnet.com and click on "Today's top CNET videos" on the upper right side of the page. At least today, they have NY Auto Show videos available. Just click on the NY Auto Show photo and you'll go to a page that lists all of the cars at the show. There is a walk-around video of the 07 G35S with interior shots and a CNET commentary. They say that intelligent cruise control with "preview-braking". First I've heard of that.

Thanks for the link. I like the look, except for the spoiler. I've never been a fan of these unless they are functional, and I'm pretty sure my G will not be reaching speeds where they are functional! Certainly not here in NJ. (Please, no hate mail about spoilers-it's only my opinion. Thanks)

From what I understand after seeing a simulated demonstration, the car uses the Intelligent cruise control sensors to detect a sudden stop in traffic ahead. If the computer senses this, it 1)makes a beeping noise in the cabin, and 2) applies partial pressure to the brakes right before your foot gets to it, and I'm sure the seatbelts restrain you into the seats and etc.

the intelligent cruise sensor sounds like a mirror of the Acura RL, or TL or whatever the newest sedan model of acura. I heard that the new acura has this same ability, it cruises along using radar sensor sending out pulses of radar and if a car is stop ahead of the cruising acura then the acura senses it and warns the driver and even brake itself if it senses iminenate crash.

Well either way, all these high techs just gona get the G35/07 prices up. And im not a fan of that. G35 should remain within the middle class price range. We already got luxury brands, lexus and bmw, we dont need another one.
