OK - I have the fix.....

crank your stereo to 20+ and see if you can still hear the beep....see - problem fixed!

Re: HELP: very quiet beeping in my car??

Of course - I stop by the Infiniti dealer and cannot reproduce the noise. In fact, now I'm having a hard time hearing it - maybe it has stopped. I haven't changed anything, so either it went off on its own, I just can't hear it any more, or I imagined the whole thing. The truth is, the only time I heard it was at 4AM when my ears were very sensitive (you know, before they started to plug themselves up for fear of bursting when I blast Rancid all the way to work). In any case, I'm going to, you know, "keep my ears open" and if/when it starts again, I'll take it straight to the dealer.

It is the clock. I have the same noise which I noticed soon after getting my G last October. It sounds a bit like a "metallic" beep, right?
Watch the minute hand, it moves slightly every time you hear the beep.

Re: HELP: very quiet beeping in my car??

Sorry to revive this post, but I'm hearing the beeps now too. I have no aftermarket parts, no Navi, no cell phone, and I hear it when the car is completely turned off. Every ten seconds, just like someone else said.

You all should try it. You're going to need lots of peace and quiet and a little patience.

Hahaha... I'd turned on the accessories in my car, but no the engine, and heard a faint "beep" once. I thought of this post... I'm not really too concerned about it-- what's it hurting? Now, if it's counting down to an atomic blast, I'll be worried.

It comes from the clock. Really. Sit in your car with the windows closed (preferably in your garage where it is quiet)and do not turn anything on. Watch the minute hand of the clock, it advances every time you hear the "beeps".

I heard the same little beep. It doesn't coincide with the red led security light either, and don't think is the clock because is about every 10sec and the minute hand advances every minute. I don't think is something to worry. but anyway I would like to know where it comes from

The minute hand advances 1/6th of a minute every 10 seconds, and it does coincide with the beep.

I listened for this, and I agree, I think it's the clock, it is an electronic clock afterall!

Yes, it's definally definally the clock.

Anyone who has tried to change the time will agree the clock is digital. You don't wind the hands as you would on an analog clock.

Re: HELP: very quiet beeping in my car??

Hmmm. I dont hear this on a ongoing basis like its the clock, I hear it very faint only once in a while while driving. My beep is probably not the clock. I sat in the car for about 15 mins running last night and never heard it once.
