I don't really care about the trunk. You have to close it manually so it's no big to open it manually. I would much rather have the gas door open from a switch.

some guy sells kits that do this for the infiniti M and other imports but he doesen't have one ATM for G's but i'm sure he could make one

maybe you can do it with actuators or good power antannea motors on tracks like a motorized amp rack. then you can open and close it at the push of a button.
