Noisy (creaky) Driver Seat on G Sedan

Noisy (creaky) Driver Seat on G Sedan

Its driving me nuts.

I bought this 03 G sedan used and I am not sure if the guy before me was a fat a$$ or just had a lot of girlies on his lap, but the noise is annoying as $hit

It sounds like creaking wood everytime I hit a bump, or turn, or move.
I can't tell if its coming from the back piece or seat piece or where they meet.

anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Does the seat move forward and back when braking hard? I'm having that fixed for the second time in 3 years today.

I had the exact same problem. The dealer replaced my seat rail with an udated version and the noises are gone. My seat sounded like squeaky springs, but the new rail took care of it. There is a TSB about the seat rail somewhere.

I've had the forward and back action under braking for years. I never considered it bad enough to get it fixed. I'll mention it during my next servicing...

There is a TSB for the rocking seat. Definitely do it before warranty is up.

I've had the same squeaking problem, it's pretty common among the G's.

Good luck trying to fix it, my particular dealership can't seem to get it right.

i got/had the same problem before. it sounded exactly like creaking wood for 2weeks. then i remembered that it started around the same time i loss a mechanical pencil down the side of the seat. so i did some digging and there it was, stuck not on the ground under the set but in the middle of all these metal under the seat. Note that it wasnt on the carpet under seat, but in the gap of the seat surrounded by metal and stuff. I removed the mech pencil and noise was gone. Now i can stop endangering myself trying to avoid a small bump on the road not to hear that noise.

c if u got the same problem. i loss my razr/ lighter/ pencil/ quarters and keys down the side of the seat where it meets the console.

I have BOTH of the above problems and im going to the dealer (glendale) Thurs. to try and get it fixed for the 2nd time. Last month I complained about the seat moving when I brake and they replaced the rails and thats when the squeaks came in. Needless to say now Ive got a rockin, squeaky seat and as of last Fri...when set anywhere above 62, the AC blows hot air...WTF- is the deal??

I'm 5'11, average weight of about 220 the past 3 years I've owned the car and this has been going on. The past few months I've been real heavy at 240...but this seat squeak has been going on much longer.
