Re: Anyone worried that the G35 will be too common?

I've been thinking about this lately as G's become more and more prevalent. But there's no way they'll ever be as common as Audis and BMWs 'round here. If money is at all a factor you'll be driving a G.

Re: not posting TSBs on Hondas. Actually, TSBs are posted on all cars online at the National Highway Transportation Safety Board site. They have databases of TSBs, Recalls, Complaints, and things under investigations. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov For example, there were 68 TSBs listed for Honda 2002 Accord. Gee, that's a lot of TSBs for a car that's been around for a long time... Infiniti is doing better than that with the G.

I like it when my car is everywhere, that means it is a good car. I wish Infiniti could build and sell 6000+ sedans and 4000+ coupes every month.

I pulled into the drive in line at Boston Market the other day.
The car in front of me was the same 2003 TB sedan, but it had
the aero package. Then another G35 sedan drove past us.
Three G35 sedans at the same time! Felt kinda of common

Re: Anyone worried that the G35 will be too common

I was driving home last night on the freeway, and came upon a G35 sedan with identical color scheme and configuration as mine. Purely as a coincidence, I was behind him for almost a good mile or two when another G35 sedan (also identical color scheme but with aero pack) pulled up behind us. We stayed in the same formation for another couple miles until we all got off the same exit, then turned onto the same surface street for a few more miles before I lost sight of them.

Too many G35 on the road? You decide.

well it's obviously apparent that brilliant minds think alike. the other day I was alking out to the car as my wife was waiting to pick me. I started to runn accross the street to avoid traffic when an almost identical brilliant silver G pulls up next to my wife. It was funny becuase I was momentarily confused. Luckily I didn't go for the door of the other car.

F4yoshi - It all comes down to what your preference is and what your use for the car is. Frankly, you can cross the S4 right out of the list, because it's a problem plagued car, snapped drive belt, misfire, falied window regulator, to name just a few. BMW is a pretty good car and it's as common as the G now a day. In my neighborhood, almost everyone has a Mercedes E-class or BMW 330. If you are considering leasing a car, yep, then BMW and G is a good car. If you are think about financing the car or paying off the car, you should seriously think about what are you going to do with your BMW when the four year/60000 warranty is over. Trade in at loss or sell it at loss. However, G is a well-rounded I should say and should be costing you much in the long run to own it. My wife's I30 has been flawless now at 70000, absolutely trouble-free compared to my other cars. If you are afraid that a G would be too common, you can opt to modify your car with after market parts. One more reason why I purchase the G is because of the endless possibilities this VQ engine has to offer. Much durible, well-constructed engine and reliable too.

Nuttyprof- Yes, yummy, aftermarket parts at lower cost. I need twin turbo kit. I need bodykit. I need bigger rims, perhaps BBS. Overall, I need afftermarket parts.

Yes all cars have TSBs posted at NHTSA, but for months I checked this sight out for 03 Accords and did not find any, even though 03 Accord forums had plenty of problems, now NHTSA has TSBs posted for the 03s, my point is, It seems Infiniti reported TSBs ASAP,which is a good thing,it helps correct a problem much sooner.

Re: Anyone worried that the G35 will be too common?

Well I am glad that I got my DG sedan and hopefully there will not be too many of those around anytime soon.

I hope the G does not become so widely spread like the BMW 3, it is nice having a special machine to play with.

Re: Anyone worried that the G35 will be too common?

I get that stare too here in the mid hudson valley of NY. I bought the car in Chicago in July where G's were all over the place. Then I moved here for work in August and have seen 1 other sedan (besides mine) and one red coupe in almost 2 months.

Of course, the reason for this is the nearest infiniti dealer is some 40+ miles away, while every other dealer except lexus seems to be well represented. Hopefully the nearby Nissan place will do some of the not-so-complex scheduled maintenance.
