Ride Quality
Re: Ride Quality
I have the sport suspension, i am quite pleased with it. It may be firm for some but at speed or i should say over 75 and over the suspension works wonderfully. I have never been bothered by road noise. the car seems pretty quiet to me. My wife has an BMW X5 and I find the quietness to be comparable.
My suggestion test drive both suspensions on the highway.

Re: Ride Quality
I don't have the sports suspension on my ride and it's very smooth. It handles well but could use the sports suspension when driving fast which will happen often in this car. The temptation is there, what can I say.
Re: Ride Quality
Family had a '92 E-Class before and we feel that the ride quality in the G35 is not as smooth. You have to consider the fact that the suspension is sportier and the 17" lower profile tires do make a difference. In terms of sport and non-sport. We have non-sport and feel that the ride is fine the way it is. It all depends on what you prefer. The sport suspension is lower by like milimeters but does have a slight harder ride. Shouldn't be too noticable. You should test drive both models to make a final decision.

Re: Ride Quality
I have the sport suspension and feel like a badass everytime I drive. My first initial thought before I test drove was that I preferred a smoother ride, but after test driving the G w/ sport suspension, I loved it. It definately gives the ride a tight, sporty feel. I don't know if there was much difference cause I didn't drive one w/out the sport but after my first drive, that was enough for me. Any extras to pump my adrenaline when I take a fast corner is worth it to me. Either way, you're gonna love the G
Re: Ride Quality
If I was you, definetly get the sport suspension...totally worth the money...500 bucks..can't go wrong wit tat...
But this I notice from sport vs non..
The the brakes are softer on the sport than the non...less touchy...

Re: Ride Quality
The best advice so far has been to test drive both of them to make your determination. I have the sport and put 245/40/19"s on it. It is firm but not bone jarring. I drove a non-sport loaner with stock 17"s and noticed a slight difference in smoothness. I think it just depends on what kind of driving you do and how "comfortable" you want to be. I chose the sport because I thought it was a good bargain. Also, if you meet an A4, 330, or an IS out in the twisties, you want the confidence, if not better handling capability, that a firmer suspension is going to give you. If most of your driving is on the highway, commuting, get the non-sport.
Re: Ride Quality
I think that's the biggest difference. The 'titanium' finished dash is the main reason I wouldn't want the sport.
Re: Ride Quality
I actually think the ''titanium'' finish looks better than the gray plastic console, o/c unless you put some wood dashkit on it, but again, it's hard to get wood kits looked as oringinals.
Re: Ride Quality
Most of the negative comments from the press are about the interiors with the titanium finish. The 'cut-out' blanks on the forward part of the console are very noticeable, whereas they are difficult to see on the graphite console.
Re: Ride Quality
i wish infiniti would've offered more flexible options regarding the interior.. but i guess since they're not mass producing these, it's more of a "take what you can get" or "order what you want and wait" option..

I was looking in a Consumer Guide book and here are the ratings for ride quality:
Sedan, auto: 7
Sedan, AWD w/Prem. Pkg,.: 7
Sedan w/Sport tuned susp. pkg., auto: 5
Coupe w/Sport tuned susp. pkg., manual: 3
Coupe w/performance tire pkg., auto: ?
Coupe, auto: ?
Does anyone have an idea of where the ride quality stands for the Coupe automatic without the susp. pkg?
