New Wheels but might have a problem

So finally put on summer tires on. Pics to come shortly!!!

I put 19x8.5 Front (offset 38mm) and 19x9.5 Rear (offset 35mm).

I put 245/35 19 and 265/30 19 on. I think I'm getting fender rubbing. I had 3 of my friends in the back seat and whenever I turned you heard the noise.

I guess I need to fender rolled, but not sure really what that is and if it's even going to help. Any thoughts? I'll get pics ASAP.

Do you mean 20mm front or 30mm front?

Sorry about the offset. Corrected the changes. It's 38 in the front and 35 in the rear.

They are the Stern ST-1's.

i bought rims like that b4.. yea.. well what happened was i had to get new rear rims because it rubbed like thers no tmrw.. i was lowered on stechs so w/o people in my car made it rub too.. I doubt rolling the fender or shaving it would help because it should stick out A LOT.. and i went to get the cost of flaring fenders and it was around 1grand .. sad.. try to exchange them.. you might be able to shave the rims in the back; take it to a machine shop and see what they say.

That's very depressing to hear!!! So what would a machine shop do. Actually shave the rims back to a point where it's not near the fender. Wouldn't that weaken the wheel?

yes it would weaken the strength of the rim; but its only by a little i would say +/- 2% ... you have to admit rims are very strong.. and also dont roll your fenders; shave them instead; rolling them i'have heard will cause the paint to pull and it gets ugly =(.. i suggest you try to return the rim and maybe get somethign else; thats what i did. or else shave your fenders and yoru rims to be safe. shaving rims should cost you about 50-60bucks depending what machine shop you bring it to. if you look on the inside of the rim; the center part is where they shave. what area you located at?

I had 19x9.5 38mm offset in the rear with 275x30x19s and I only had a small rub in the back. I bent the inner lips up a little and it cleared just fine. Since you have 265 you should clear just fine with bending the lips up.

here is a link to a page I just put up (I just bought the tool),
the page is still under construction but you will get the basic idea.

Why would you put 9.5" with 35mm offset at the back?

Dude same thing happen to me. whenever i had people in the back i would rub. ... turns out the salesmen was in a rush to hit quota that day and sold me somthing that didnt "perfectly" fit. after much negiotation they took the rims back and gave the same rims exept ones that didnt rub. I would try and do the same thing. whos fault? whos to blame? hopfully theres not a huge finger pointed at your face.. lol
