2004 G interior color

Going to buy a 2004 G sedan for long commutes. Have to choose either the willow (tan) or graphite (black) interior color. I have never owned a car with a black interior. Anyone have any problems with the black interior? Will one "age" better than the other? Thanks.

i have the graphite interior, and after 4 years, it still looks very nice with minor cracks on the side. you just have to be more careful when entering and leaving the car. i also condition my leather every 2 weeks with armour all too

Definately graphite!!! If you are keeping the car for a few years, it will wear much better.

I have black interior as well, my car is black on black. It certainly looks awesome, especially after leader treatments. It does show dust however, so you'd need to keep it clean.

My willow tends to pick up coloration from my pants. I notice it while cleaning. I got the willow because, with Oklahoma summer heat, I was hoping it would be cooler.

04 with graphite leather here (since 10/04) - no problems. I was concerned that it would get hot when car sits in sun, but has never been a problem. I presume it's easier to keep it looking clean as well.

I have a G35 with black interior and a Maxima with a black leather interior and it actually holds up better than a willow color

armour all sucks and damages your leather.

Use Lexol Leather Cleaner to wash the leather then follow with Zaino Leather In a Bottle to condition the leather. This will keep it in great condition and the Leather in a Bottle smells f_cking excellent gives your car that "new leather" smell for months!

If you use those it won't matter what kind of interior you have as long as you are not a huge fat *** sweaty bastard, in which case def. get the graphite. I have willow and like it just fine.

I have always had black/graphite interior until I got my used G35. I looked at a lot of used G35s and I was amazed at how poorly the graphite interiors held up and the same goes for all the loaners I have. The plastic shows every little scuff and the leather seems different and wears really bad. I looked at a couple Willow interiors and I was surprised at how well they hold up. My 03 G35 is now about 3.5 years old and the interior looks brand new. The doors show no wear, the leather looks brand spanking new as does everything in the car. The only thing I had to do was buy all weather rubber mats and run them all year round because Willow fabric floor mats won't last. Another great thing about Willow is it doesn't show a lick of dust ever. I've vacuumed out the carpet TWICE in 19 months of ownership. That's how little dirt the carpet shows.

Interestly, the 05 loaners I've had with the Wheat interior dirty really quickly.

If I was buying a new G, then I've consider the Graphite or Stone because I know how to treat an interior where as most people don't.

Graphite, for sure. I've had mine for 2 years and still looks new. I haven't used anything on the leather. I have black leather in my 92 Maxima and never used anything on the leather either and it still looks great so hopefully the G holds up as well.
