Most of the cops on the GW parkway use laser, so you would have to be really alert. Also the parkway is just infested with cops.

 

If that's the case then you can obtain a number of laser blocking applications for your car too. I'm not saying you should do things to defeat the police measures to slow people down (although I admit to doing so with a radar detector) but if you are going to speed, you need to cya first.

Dudes of the G35 - I pray that this article does not get noticed by actuaries that may raise our insurance rates. Maybe I missed it, but wish the article specified coupe or sedan, modified or stock, drunk or sober, girl's panties wet or dry, cop's underwear wet or dry with a $1200 revenue take I suspect that the cop wet himself twice – on the witness stand and the night of the incident.

I've driven this stretch before in various rentals. It's a fun smooth winding road - but dark and tight with plenty of trees along the road side waiting to wrap their arms around you if you miss a step - and I don’t recall ever going over 70 or 80.

Glad our G35 comrade is in one piece – but he did take a huge risk. Perhaps to him it was a calculated risk with minimal consequences and perhaps he was very familiar with the road – who knows. The fact still remains though that US driving laws are dated. We copied the interstate from Hitler – why didn’t we also copy the user’s manual too?

lol 126 isnt as fast as it sounds...thats like what...downshift at 80...and just about 10 seconds or so?

 

And in that 10 seconds, you will travel about 1500 ft - which is at least 5 times farther than your headlights will illuminate on this road! And then you'd still be going 80mph. Good luck.
