2007 G35 video links

I saw two high-quality official video clips in the Japanese Nissan website.

http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/V35...619/index.html

First one shows the New York Auto Show clip.

Second shows the nice marketing clip that shows some nice shots of the G35

So does that mean the the G35 will also be an infiniti in japan rather than a nissan skyline?

Maybe but unless Infiniti has been launched in Japan (I thought it was only Lexus so far?) it'll just be the press release on what the Nissan version will look like in Japan.

As far as I know, Nissan won't launch Infiniti lines in Japan. As you all know, G35 will be still sold in Japan as Skyline, which has long heritage and one of most popular sport sedan/coupe lines in Japan.

The new G35 is such an important line for Nissan/Infiniti that their CEO Carlos Ghosn personally unveiled it in the 2006 New York Auto Show. He is clearly one of the most influencial and busiest CEOs in the auto industry. How many times have you seen a new car that is personally unveiled by their CEO?

The new G35's style is not what I consider revolutionary but it is certainly good looking with lots of improvement from the current. If infiniti can keep its price well under $35K with 310~320 hp rating, they will have another winner.

Although not official yet, BMW will introduce 335i sedan with 300hp turbo charged engine this fall. It will be one hell of sport sedan but I think similarly equipped 335i sedan will be at least $10K more than new G35.

In the second video, the driver looked like he was doing quite a bit of "shifting." However, the shift **** looked more like the automatic gear selector, so I think he might have been using the manumatic mode? But doesn't the G have shift pedals on the sterring wheel? Or does this mean that they have a working 6spd man. version this early for the enthusiasts?
