+1... The new sedan was definitely designed for the, uh, baby boomer crowd.

So, what if it was, they know we're the ones with the money and desire for a car like this. It's marketing, they aim a car or product to a demographic they know will buy, I would bet if you did a survey of G35 owners in the country, the 'baby boomers' would be the majority of owners!

Getting a little defensive are we? j/k I think it only makes sense to market to the baby boomers at this time. Plus Infiniti needed to go a little more upscale with the next G to continue to survive. Quite frankly, I think the car came out very well and I still see the "sport" in it...and I'm not a part of the baby boomer generation.

Far be it for me to knock the baby boomers but when brands like Cadillac, Mercury, Lincoln and Buick are doing their best to shake their image of appealing to the older types I find it somewhat surprising that Infiniti is jumping head long into them with this new design. I'm 21 and I like the new G35 sedan for what it is but it's definitely not designed with the younger crowd in mind (young at heart doesn't count).

Well, Lincoln, Cadillac and Buick, aren't for Baby Boomers, more for the slightly older set, with maybe the exception of some of the new Cadillacs, like the CTS, remember, we all grew up on Mustangs, Camaros, SS's, MoPar's, Stingrays, and we still want quick cars. You wouldn't see me driving a Lincoln, unless it was someone else's car. Infiniti is chasing those brands, they're chasing the BMW. When I was 21, my choice was a '68 Mustang, then a Mach1, both were bought new. WTF of course young at heart counts!

jmat, thanks for the pics. Would you say the interior and exterior dimensions of the car are about the same as the current car? Or did it appear to get a little bigger/smaller?
