2007 G35s Discount or MSRP?

Any speculations the 2007 sedans can be negotiated or dealers will be selling at MSRP or more? If selling at MSRP, has anyone able to negotiate now with dealers for a discount (ie. $1,500 off) for a deposit now? Reason I asked is my buddy just put a deposit on a BMW 335Ci Twin Turbo and he was able to get $1,500 off MSRP if he put a $500 non-refundable deposit. He did get it in writing from the dealer.

I put a deposit on my 07 Sedan and was able to get a 1% discount....which is going to be approximately $500.

i dont see you getting much off an 07 until they have been out for a while. $500 does sound to be about the best anyone will probably be able to get. Although you might can talk them into some free tint or something. My parents got an 07 Camry when they first came out and that is all that Toyota would do....$500 off and a tint job. Id wait until the newness is out and dealers have a decent inventory then you can start paying MSRP. thats what im doing...plus im waiting for the 6mt anyway.

If you don't mine me asking, how much deposit did you have to put down.

Thanks!

Is anyone able to obtain VPP (vendor preferred pricing) from the start? I am seriously looking into a G35 and have family who works for a parts supplier for Nissan. It doesn't matter if it's in Canada or US ... I am willing to import to Canada if I can get a better price in the US.

Any thoughts?

I am. And i'm pretty sure it will apply for the 07 G35 as well.

This was why I was goin to wait for the G. But being that I can't, in the process of getting a 07 Maxima.

So I went to two Infiniti dealers this weekend and asked if they are willing to give any discount if I put a non-refundable deposit today. Both declined. I'm planning to go to two more this coming week......is there anything I should do differently when I approach these two dealers for a discount?

TIA!

Interesting. I didn't even ask my dealer about a discount as I figured there wouldn't be any. They offered me the 1% discount off of MSRP without me even asking for it.

Thanks for the info. I presume you need to be a vendor/supplier to qualify for the VPP (in which I don't qualify)?

Good luck with the other two dealers that you will be visiting. Let us know how you make out.
