1) Dude is just going by pictures (never been in the G35) and making a blanket statement that the 330i has better fit, finish, and materials.

2) You think it has sub-par quality, that's fine. Doesn't mean that others feel that it has sub-par quality. So don't make it sound like that's a universal fact by saying that people have to "accept" it.

3) Every car has some minor aspects that feel cheap. That includes the 330i. I don't know what's so special about the interior quality of the 330i. It's okay, but nothing to write home about.

Why don't you post some photos of the brake handle and trunk release buttons of the G35 and 330i side-by-side, and explain how the 330i's are better.

I'm not trying to be a smart-***; I just want to see what the differences really are that set the 330i apart. Maybe I'll even agree with you after seeing a side-by-side comparison.

Looks terrific, except the "S" needs to be removed from the rear G35S logo. Reminds me of a Toyota or something I've seen before.

That would be the "S" on the Toyota Corolla S...

I prefer the more fluid center console of the automatic (vs. manual).

The snout of the car looks too long compared to the rear. Maybe it's the angle.

Still don't like the fact that the CD Changer is in the trunk when you get nav. That is so BMW ... and early-90s.

I agree, hence the word "Potential".

Um, dude, come on now. You're talking about pieces that no one will ever see or touch. I was being over the top in my OP, but seriously, what kind of materials do you want these buttons to be made of? Ivory? Platinum? Goose-down? What?

Asserting these buttons to be "potential flows" or of "sub-par quality" is reaching. Reaching quite far IMO. I've got a good idea. Why don't you turn over the floormats of the g and the 330, and compare the underside stitching. Or how about take out the shifter boot, and see if the inside is nice and leathery too.

Now, if you want to start talking about gauges being hard to read, or seats that don't provide enough support, then I'm game.

My guess is that in-dash CD changers seem to have more problems than single disc players and dealers complained of having to tear the dash apart when they have to replace a changer. Replacing the changer in the trunk would be an easier and faster job.

From the Car & Driver G35 Sedan review:

"nicely placed switches with an exceptionally positive operational feel"

Complaining about a VDC switch.....sheesh....at least Infiniti has one and lets you turn the VDC off (unlike Lexus I understand)....

My comments were not in conflict w/what you mentioned above, the person who originally made that statement was. Your fusing my words with his concerns, whereas my statement is in regards to someone's right to judge this and others vehicles how they see fit - regardless if it's perceived to be w/out merit.

I never said I agree w/his findings; on the contrary, I actually agree w/yours.
