Push to start...spoiler

2 quick questions--is there a picture anywhere of the engine start/stop button (G35 will have it standard, right?)? Also, does the S get the spoiler like in the pics from the car wash here, or can it be deleted or opted for the regular "lip" spoiler? I thought those spoilers like the one I have on my 98 SE Maxima were out-of-style about 5-6 years ago, and that's what seems to be on the G35S!

The push button ignition is standard on all five of the 2007 Infiniti G35 models ( G35, G35 Journey, G35x AWD, G35 Sport, and G35 Sport 6MT ). The push button ignition is the same as the one found in the Infiniti M, but the 2007 Infiniti G35's lights up blue instead of orange. ( It's the last photo on the right. Use the down arrow on the right to get to the second set of photos: http://www.infiniti.com/m/photos/interior_photos.html ) There is a rear decklid spoiler which is optional on the 2007 Infiniti G35 Sport and G35 Sport 6MT models.

My '05 has the IntelligentKey and you start the car without the key, push in and turn, same principle as the push button I believe.

Unless things are different in the US, the rear spoiler is standard on all Sport models, not optional. That is for Canadian models anyways.

Can someone explain briefly how the push-start button works for the manual tranny? Do you disengage the clutch like you would on a normal car, then push the button?

And what happens when you step away from your car while the engine's still on? Does it continue to run until you press it to turn it off?

I'm sure it works similar to the IntelligentKey on my '05, and if the car is running, you can still walk off, and it will beep, but the engine will stay running.

It has to work that way - imagine the battery in your intelligent key died while you were speeding down the freeway and the car just shut off! Also, if it is any thing like my 2006 G35 it will allow you to start the car with a regular key if you have issues (such as battery being dead) with the intelligent key. The pushbutton sure does look cool though - wish mine had it!
