So glad that new G35 won't have the dreaded runflat tires
There are countless rants and horror stories about the latest runflat tires, especially on the BMW E90 and Toyota Siena. So glad that Infiniti didn't join this downhill bandwagon.
Not only they compromise the ride severely and nobody has them in stock, they actually do not serve their intended purpose.
What if you get a flat in the middle of nowhere? If you are lucky to drive it to nearest service center, chances are they don't carry your exact size runflat tire. You will have to buy comparable non-runflat tire on it and REPLACE it again with a runflat once you made it back to home. This actually has happened to many BMW owners. How crazy is this?
This technology is still very early in stage and has potential but let others be guinea pig on them....

But, it has a latex canister as well to patch the hole.
The compressor & latex merge inline to fill the flat.
It's designed specifically for temporary flat repair on the road.
The latex is temporary & the nice thing is that it cleans up well when you
remove the tire to do replace or repair.
Some of the *other* fix-a-flat products are a PITA to clean up.
