I am certian this is a misprint 9of couyrse it appears to be a quote), but wouldn't it be nice to see some hit the showrooms this month? This is from a Nissan update on Autoweek.com today:

DETROIT -- Nissan's sales decline was expected because of the lack of new models, but sales should pick up in the fourth quarter, said Dominique Thormann, vice president of administration and finance for Nissan North America Inc.
The automaker is sold out of the Versa and Altima sedans, Thormann said here today. With the launches of the 2007 Sentra sedan in the next few weeks, the Infiniti G35 car this month and the redesigned 2007 Altima in November, Thormann predicted that Nissan's sales decline will end.

I have to admit that the back tailights of the Altma are pretty bad A and the rising beltline gives is a super agressive look. If the interior is decent, that car should hang well with the Camry and Accord...

lots of typos in the media-- new york newsday wrote the 2007 G35 will be a 300hp+ v8 engine and i got lots of calls about that.
it's still going to be in november. i just ordered 50 more 2006 G35 sedans so we won't sell out when october/november comes around

My friend has a 2005 Maxima. He HATES is. It probably has too much power (270hp I believe) for front wheel drive. It pulls all over the place when accelerating and he's always "fighting" it.
In my opinion, anything over 200hp needs to be RWD or AWD if you're an enthusiast of course.

I think an enthusiast will be happier to lose the AWD as well...about the WRX STi and Porsche Turbos, well, I don't know what to say...
There might be some validity to this - here's a snip from an interview w/the Head Design chief of Nissan/Infiniti w/Autoweek: "...His new-generation Infiniti G35 sedan reaches U.S. dealerships this month. He spoke with Automotive News Staff Reporter Lindsay Chappell."

My favorite quote from the article:
The Altima is like a pair of comfortable jeans. An Infiniti is like a nice suit. You pay a bit more for it, but there is something about the way it makes you feel when you wear it.
