3 Questions:

1. What does the Sport model add (Automatic models)?
2. Does anyone know what kind of tires (Summer or A/S) will be included in the Performance Tire & Wheel Package?
3. From the Specs and Packages thread, it appears that the Navigation package adds the hard drive (flash), but removes the in-dash 6-CD changer?!?!?! - No changer?!?!?

TIA

Just to add to number 1 in regards to the sport package, you also get upgraded brakes to 13.0 inch rotors in front and 12.6 inch out back.

Check out the specs doc from another thread. It has a wealth of information.

OK, now I'm confused about the spoiler thing. One of the forum mavens has a post above stating that the "Sport package" will include a rear spoiler. Another post has a link to "specs.doc", which doesn't say anything about a "Sports package" but says that the "Sport" and "Sport MT" models will have a freestanding option of a rear spoiler. So, which is it - Sports package or Sports models? Sure, I understand that "Sports package" can be a shorthand way of describing the bundle of goodies that will distinguish the Sports and Sports MT models from their, um, lesser bretheren. What bothers me is the suggestion that a rear spoiler will be mandatory on the Sport and Sport MT models. I'm inclined towards the Sport MT model but I absolutely, positively refuse to have a spoiler on any car that I call my own. Guys my age don't do spoilers.

From the information that I have, it indicates that the rear spoiler is part of the Sport package. It does not mention anything at all about it being an option. Having said that, all the information that I have is for Canadian models only. From the link posted above, it looks like the rear spoiler may be an option on the US Sport model.

Thanks for the info guys.

I really hope that spoiler is a separate add-on and not part of the sport package. I think it's out of place on that car.

The changer moving back to the trunk is annoying as hell. A changer in the trunk is only good if it has the capacity to hold all your CDs. Otherwise, with only 6 disks, you will find yourself pulling over every couple of days to change the disks.

I really don't see the CD changer in the trunk being that big of an issues. I plan on playing all my music from the 9.5GB hd and the CF card anyways.

LOL, didn't know there was an age limit on having a spoiler.

Geez, come to think of it maybe I'm too old to have one on my coupe.

Hanging nonfunctional cr**ola like spoilers and body kits on cars is pretty much an under-40 pasttime. Note, I didn't say "entirely", I said "pretty much." I have a theory why that is but you probably don't want to hear it, so I'll spare you.

Making a rear spoiler optional with Sport models in the U.S. (if not in Canada) is nothing but good for us geezers who favor the clean and simple look in their cars. As it is, the trunk area of the '07 G35 Sport will have (a) an Infiniti logo, (b) the brand name spelled out, (c) A "G35S" emblem, with the "S" in red, and (d) a useless slab of chrome along the lip of the trunk lid. Does it really need the additional visual clutter of a wing spoiler? C'mon. I've been looking forward to the '07 G35 for its promise of mechanical and electronic goodness, but I'm staring to wonder if Nissan will spoil it with over-the-top visuals. The pointless droop in the side character line at the rear of the car is the subject of another thread here. Nissan has gotten the seat controls out of the seat cushions for '07 but they still have the Infiniti logo and name on both front seatbacks. That's just cheesy (and yes, I know it's that way on the M too, and it's cheesy there too). I'll just have to see and drive one, like everyone else, to decide whether the performance of the car outweighs the questionable eye candy.

I agree with you about the spoiler should be optional for sure, some people like it, some don't. I also concur with you that the chrome lip on the rear deck lid is a bit gawdy (might look better in person).
