I've aware of this offering, and there are several other flavors on the market from other Mfg. as well. My problem is, I'm not a fan of super-stiff sidewalls and will gladly give up [some] handling for a less aggressive tire. I've been using these tires for a while, and yes there are less expensive alternatives, but I find these to be the best for my needs. Besides, having the sport suspension should yield me better handling over the non-sport model even with the tire change.

Too bad Infiniti cannot hit the BMW mark, otherwise I'd keep the setup as-is.

Noooo! Those are by far the crappiest tires. I had them on my Integra sedan, then the same tires on my current Mazda 6. I was so excited when all the tread wore off, and I got Toyo Proxes 4. Everyone on the Mazda board hates the MXM4's. I don't understand why they're over $150+, even at Costco.

And I don't understand why Infiniti had to make different sized tires for the G. That means my fronts will wear out much faster, and then I'll have to replace all four tires well before 20k miles!

Well since the car is RWD, the rear will wear out faster than the fronts (if they were the same size), but since they're slightly bigger they will wear out slower than normal...possibly equalizing the wear percentage of the front & back.

I won't have to worry about any of this with the 2007 Infiniti G35x AWD.

I wasn't crazy about any of the wheels I've seen thus far on the 07's. Reports so far have the sport suspension sounding kinda choppy so at this point I'm leaning towards 19 or 20s with the touring over the sport. I've got a few $$ saved up just for the right wheel package. Might lower it an inch, too.. Some of the pics have the G kinda high around the wheel wells. Have to see the wheels on the G first...

Oh right, I didn't think about that. Hence the different size. You can tell I've never owned a RWD before. Since the rims are identical, you can essentially buy the same tire size for all four, right? Why didn't I buy bigger wheels for the front of my FWD...

Why would you get flamed for having an opinion?

JMO but I'd want to differentiate it from the M.
Not make it into a baby M

Yes, they are summer tires on the sport package, with all seasons on all other models.

well, I'm in a 2001 M5 now and pondering going back to Infiniti b/c of the 07 G, but there is no way I would keep either of the wheel/tire setups...

on my '03 G coupe, I had 19" Volk SF winnings with 255/285 tires, and those at the time even looked a little "undersized" for my tastes - the new sedan looks like it has large arches and plenty of room for aftermarket wheels, so if I do plunk down the cash for a new sedan, I'll be doing 19's at least, but most likely I'll wait and let some other people be the guinea pigs...

at any rate, what I'm basically saying is that the current selections are undersized and dissappointing, imo...
