Time to discuss wheels

In all the pictures I've seen so far (probably 7 different cars with different packages and trim levels), all the Gs had the same wheels.

Are they planning a different design for the various trim levels or will it be the same design with different size?

The non Sport models will have a different design. Below is the design for the standard 17" wheels.

Can we assume if you buy the Performance Wheel and Tire Package with the Journey model that you are getting the identical wheels and tires to the Sport model?

Oh! I saw that picture yet I missed the wheel design. The design is pretty close.
I want to go for the Auto Sport but am very concerned about the type of tires. I don't feel like buying yet another car for which I will have to worry during winter time (i.e. cars comes with high performance SUMMER tires).

Can we get A/S performance instead?

I know what you mean Daniel. I have virtually brand new Blizzaks mounted on 16" steel wheels that I am not able to use anymore.

What kills me about the Sport package wheel/tire combination is the size...again they have spec'd sizes where there is limited selection. I looked up the 07 Sport sizes on Tirerack and found that there is only one tire for either the front or rear (don't remember which)... the Bridgestone RE050A. Although I am sure this is a great performing tire, with a treadwear rating of 140, and my service adviser telling me the coupe guys typically only get 10-12K out of them, I'm a little apprehensive about getting them.

Any body planning to put on the 19" coupe wheels? If I decide to sell my Z for the G I think I am going to.

On the sports model, the front and rear tires are different sizes. If you have uni-directional tires, does that mean you can never rotate your tires... ever?!

Only from side to side, not back to front and vise versa.

but then that means you would have to unmount and remount the tires each time you decide to rotate the tires (for Unidirectional tires)...that can run unnecessary extra money...

You got it; that's why I'm actually having the tires swapped for Michelin Pilot MXM4's - less aggressive but sporty enough, and I can rotate side-to-side w/out dismounting.

Nothing new with a staggered setup.

In a high perf tire like a PS2 you can also go side to side.
(Asymetric, non-directional)
