After all it's only a slight increase over the 330i, with *huge* value for that increase.

I currently drive a loaded '03 Infiniti FX35 (and I was a former '04.5 G35 driver), and I will be fully comparing the 335i (when it arrives in Nov.) to an '07 Infiniti G35 Sedan, provided Infiniti gets them to the dealer in time.

By comparing, do you mean that you would still cancel out on the 335?
Just curious... if you will be comparing the E92 335i (coupe) to the '07 G35 sedan,
.....why not the E90 335i (sedan)
The Bimmers and Benzes will always sell good... I know lots of people who will take any Bimmer (even the slowest, non luxury equipped models) just for the name... and I know lots of people who will take any Benz for the same reason.

I think the 335i sedan will sell almost as well as the 328. Why? It's only about 5k more and you get standard logic7 and a coupe other features, which brings the total price of the 328i to within a few thousand of the 335i. Right now the only reason to buy a 328i other than to save maybe $3k is for the 328xi.

The rear seats in the BMW 335i Coupe are actually very usable; I sat back there with plenty of knee space, although the headroom is a bit close (and I'm 5'8"). Most likely, the only one who might be in the rear is my 4-yr-old in a booster seat anyway.
In addition, I still can't get over the 335i Sedan's rear "bangle" look; I think it's horrible. Plus, I believe only the the 335i Coupe gets LED rear lights while the Sedan gets the reg. rear lights, but I could be wrong on that. I like how BMW really differentiated the 335i Coupe with the 335i Sedan this time. Although the Coupe & Sedan share the same interior, you can really see the difference on the exterior; it just doesn't look like a 2-door version of the sedan.
As far as my order goes, all BMW typically requires is a $500 refundable deposit to order the car with your specifications. Then, when it arrives at the dealer, I have the right to cancel my order and receive my $500 refundable deposit back for any reason. Although I negotiated a $2k discount off MSRP and an decent lease deal based on Sept. MF, I believe the MF's could be lower in Oct. and Nov. (even lower in Dec.), so the final deal is by no means done.
If I decided to cancel my order (and go for the G35 or whatever), the BMW dealership would then have no problem selling my ordered car to someone else (and my BMW salesguy has mentioned to me several times that he would almost definitely sell it to someone else for more $$).

to get the active cruise control option. You must relly want that feature. Considering you get similar functionality, plus rearview camera and adaptive headlights in the infiniti ~$1000 technology package, it seems like BMW is reallt screwing people on that option. I would think having that overpriced feature might make it kind of hard for your delear to sell to someone else if you cancel your order....

I will, however, miss the rear-view camera (that I have in my FX35) if I get the 335i.
Unfortunately for my wallet, I want it all!
