I'm also still seeing some bad assembly issues again as well. This is the 3rd photo - all different that I have seen the same issue. I sure hope this is fixed [if it's not the photo] for this is very noticeable:

JMO, but I think we're going to see huge advancements in auto tranny technologies shortly.
Don't forget that trannys are producted by 3rd party vendors.... Borg Warner, ZF et al.
Engineering, while partnered by Nissan etc. takes place at a nested level.

With the recent flurry of dual clutch manuals, auto tranny companies are being pushed to make better products.
I think BMWs new Steptronic is just the tip of the iceburg of things to come.
I agree. I really like Audi/VW's DSG's approach as well. I think the idea is great and the journalists' feedbacks so far are very good. I hope they can push the cost down and fix any potential reliability problems (yeah, VW ). Also I hope CVT can take off as well...

Sorry for the thread hijack

Lexus introduced a six-speed ( i.e. GS, IS, ES ), a eight-speed ( i.e. LS ), and a ECVT ( i.e. GS Hybrid ) transmission in a very short timeframe.

In this photo, it looks like the colors are washed out big time.
You are totally correct, you can't even judge paint color from a brochure, one needs to see the car in-person imho.

I'd love to take that wood and see if it's really cardboard like I think it is....

I am surpised to see that nobody has mentioned the Skyline 350gt-8. with its 8 speed paddle shifting auto trans. Nissan has very high standards when it come to picking out trans. So if they decided add a different trans if must be for a very good reason. here is a link with a little bit of info on the 350gt-8 http://www.autozine.org/html/Nissan/Skyline.html

i apologies for hi-jacking your post
i think that to give the wood a better flow it would need something done to the steering wheel maybe wood trim pieces on it.
