Question for current XM/Sirius users and future 07 owners...
With the introduction of the 9Gb hard drive, and the whole digital music theatre that seems to be going on with this car, I thought to myself: Will I really need XM on it as well?
What do you guys think? Are any of you, current XMers or Siriusers
planning on continuing your subscriptions with all these digital gadgets on the 07? (assuming of course that you are going for the Tech package...)

Depends upon the individual. Somebody who has a large digital library of MP3s or WMAs or whatever, that go with their current musical taste, probably doesn't need radio of any kind, satellite or terrestrial.
Personally, I'm in the older demographic, don't have a big CD collection to rip, and am too lazy to buy (or otherwise download) a digital music collection big enough to keep the repeats at bay. I've had XM since early '03. Given the sheer number of XM channels, there are always several I can tune in knowing that I'll hear something I like. If I don't, I just change the channel.

I don't have XM now, but I want it in the '07 so I can get the traffic info on the nav. Not sure if I'll listen to the XM radio much or not. If the traffic info is worthless I might not continue it after the free trial.

I have never had XM before, so I will definitely be getting it.....at least for a little while. If I find myself listening to my own music library the majority of the time then I will simply cancel my XM subscription.
Next question
Does anyone know how the NAV interacts with the XM traffic channels? Don't tell me this is just a gimmick to have you get XM so you can listen to XM and use your hands to hit the "reroute" button on the NAV manually...
What I mean is that I hope there is some sort of automatic interaction between the two where it automatically chooses (or at least suggests) an alternate route...

Without a question. I get bored of what I listen to quickly (iPod/CD). My Sirius stations range from pop, to house, to hiphop, to jazz, classical, heavy metal, country, and last but not least, Stern.
Speed: In MB and Acura, the XM Traffic and NAV work harmoniously together and it reroutes you where it sees fit.

The sound quality on the other hand, is a different story.
