I like the salesmen that shut up... I test-drove a 2006 TL a while back and the salesman was trying to explain stuff to me about the car (mind you I knew more then him about it because I research all cars before I take a look at one) and as soon as I told him "I know" a few times (I interuppted him) he said "Ok i'll shut up now, looks like you know what you're talking about" now that is a salesman that would get my sale... not some guy who just talks forever and doesn't let you enjoy your ride...

Good vid, Trey....you had a decent test drive and seemed reasonably impressed.
I caught the plug for G35Driver and our 40k members......

TNX for sharing.

It was funny when I was watching the video and heard "Riverchase Pkwy" then "Valleydale Rd", and I thought "wait, it sounds like they are in Birmingham", only to look at your profile and see you are from B'ham and recognized all of the surroundings as the video progressed (definately drooled over the sound of the engine when you punched it on the I-459 on-ramp from I-65. I'm actually from Mobile and I'm a Samford student, and it's funny knowing I just sat in the same car today at Crown Infiniti (they were having some kind of salon show in the showroom featuring the G, complete with black lights and smoke and catered food and beverages.) I'm waiting for the 6MT to come in before I do a test drive, who was your salesman? It was Ed who talked to me, and he's supposed to call me once the 6MT comes in. Watched all 27 mins of the video, thanks for the footage!

Thumbs up

I stumbled on to this video on google. Watched all 27 minutes then noticed the familiar names at the end. I thought it was funny when you mentioned the rattles - "Rattles, really? Never heard any!" - g35driver and the 40,000 members.

Thanks for taking the time to drive, film and post the video.

I live in L.A. and recently just took my car to Metro Infiniti. It took me a while to convince both the service manager and tech that there are rattles on right front window and right rear door. They wouldn't believe me. When I told him that I am in this forum and many G owners have the same problem, then the tech admitted he did replace window seals for some G owners.

They finally replaced those seals but it was frustrating to know they denied it first. By the way, my car only has 17k miles.

I have only had mine for ~700 miles and no body rattles so far.

I did find that sun glasses in the "new improved larger" overhead compartment rattled- my passenger insisted it was from the left side of the car and I insisted it was from the right side and I was ready to drive to the dealership, but put on the sunglasses and shazam.

My 02.5 never had a rattle in the whole time I owned it. Guess I have just been lucky. I lived through what were early design problems with brakes and several minor factory recalls, and am hoping not to have to do such again- but have to say that Infiniti delivered fixes afgter proper prodding.

For anyone new here - this site and its vocal and knowledgeable members had its impact at Infiniti.

Even without any option, I guarantee that Ivory Pearl/Graphite with right amount of tint will looks like an above $40k car.

You guys are very lucky that you can get the IP with the Graphite interior. In Canada it is only available with Wheat (stone) interior. It has been that way up here since 04. My 03.5 6mt sedan was the last IP/Graphite combo available.
