Ok guys, I know there's been some discussion about what the platinum graphite color looks like in person in normal light. Here they are! The color is much different looking than the other post where the shots are taken under the showroom lights. It's much more of a gunmetal color. I will confirm that this new platinum graphite is definitely different than diamond graphite. It's a couple of shades darker.

For all those interested in this color, enjoy! I didn't have much time since I was on my lunch break, but I managed to get a couple of snaps with my camera phone.

By the way, the sky was overcast/cloudy.

I have to see the car for myself. I love diamond graphite and I'm sure I'd like PG as well. Thanks for the pics.

 

I meant to say this as well- take note of the M45 parked next to the G35. The M was Diamond Graphite while the G was Platinum Graphite. You can see the difference in the color.

Yes, I ordered Diamond Graphite which is a new name/ color for Canada. The pictures in some threads are getting me worried though. As if I don't have enough to think about!

 

I have always been a Diamond Graphite fan and I thought the new color ( Platinum G) was going to be the same , but if it's darker , than it will be back to Lakeshore Slate for me.

IMO, it's too close to Diamond Graphite. Blue Slate is definitely my #1 choice right now. It's a smokey blue/gray when sunny and just dark gray when cloudy.

 

Can anyone photoshop these pics and add tints for me please? I'd like to see what this car would look like with either 35% or 20%.

Isn't Diamond Graphite just replacing Silverstone in name only here (Canada)
- can't imagine them replacing their most popular colour.

LOL, yes it's a biatch when the OF syndrome kicks in .
I got out my colour swatches from my 04, 05 G35 brochures last night. We then compared them to the 07 colour samples from the Infiniti site . The Silverstone/Diamond Graphite/Platinum Graphite all looked the same when Karen and I compared them.
Ian you have the Silverstone, compare your colour to the PDF spec sheet showing the Platinum Graphite.
