Just lay the deal out and be prepared to walk if they Balk
Quote: What do u guys think the chances of getting $1000 off MSRP are right now? I'm gonna go friday evening and see if I can negotiate them down... if so I'll be buying IP Sport 5AT Prem + nav...I guess we'll see
The chances are great if they have the car you want on the lot and you just simply say here is what I want to pay and here are the other dealerships that are willing to sell it at this price(Tell them Grubbs). Then if they say no, just say “Thank you for your time call me when you can do the deal I have listed, if I haven’t purchased one from Grubbs by then.” Then just get up and start walking to the door. My guess is they won’t let you leave without doing the deal.

What you say is maybe true on average. However it all depends on demand. If the dealer has more buyers then cars he is going to watch you walk out the door because the next guy in the door will pay what the dealer is asking.

Also depends on models in stock, if he has 30 AWD's and 1 6MT which do you think he's might be willing to deal on?

Last you might be better off ordering the car and getting a deal specially if the dealer thinks he'll sell everything he has on the lot.

I cannot BELIEVE the tech package is only $1,100 when active cruise control by itself is $2,000 on a BMW. Pricing is as good as can be expected.

very true...altho I'm surprised the USD is $1,100 while CDN is $1,200. Not a large difference considering the huge difference when comparing the price of the car itself.

they can charge whatever they want, if I am not in a hurry to get one, why pay for the premium, eventually they will lower the price in the next couple months. That is, if you can wait.

Yes, it's nice to see that prices are staying pretty close to what they were when I purchased mid-year in '05.

Not much elbow room on those option prices. Looks like vehicle price is about all that's going to be negotiable.

One other quick question

It comes down to this, for the most part being a new hot car it's a sellers market for the moment as far as the dealers are concerned until such time they start seeing cars sitting on their lots. If you want a G now it's going to cost you extra for the privilege of being one of the first on the block to own one and watching everyone else drool.

As some have said this factor plays differently depending on where you live and maybe the relationship you have with the dealer. But on average people buying today will pay more then those that wait.....

The question is can you wait?

I can wait; but probably wont' want to. I just need some sort of discount of MSRP(on priciple) and a good lease.

Both. It comes as a separate option or as part of the Navigation Package. If you get it as part of the Navigation Package you can subscribe to the NavTraffic service. Sirius comes only as a separate option. To get either service as a separate option you need to also get the Premium Package.

And no, I don't know if you can get the Navigation Package, subscribe to NavTraffic, and not subscribe to XM. Sometimes I get confuse too.

Yes you can... $9.95/month without XM audio.
