Silver 07 with old style 18"ers

Well my wife has now told me if we get the new 07 G35X she would like it in light silver. I don't know for sure if this is the Platinum Ice but I threw on my 18" 05/06 Sedan Sport wheels. I would use the 17"ers for winter. We are checking the 07 out Friday afternoon, we should know better after our first viewing.
What do you think with these wheels?

I downsized the wheels in this pic below, I guess in the first pic I did have them boosted up to at least 20"ers

Looks hot if that was scale. Those wheels look almost like 20". I bet the 05+ coupe wheels would look freaking awesome.

edit:

Maybe this?

They look great Wayne. So you may be considering silver now eh? That is another really nice color and simple to keep clean.

Yes Shane, I leave the colour choice to Karen and you know yourself the girls can change their mind at any moment . She picked our Lakeshore Slate before and I was certainly happy with that. The colours so far have gone back and forth from Diamond Graphite to Platinum Ice to Ivory Pearl. I would be happy with any of them, it's her decision.

Good job badtziscool. After I read your post I started downsizing them and you were doing it at the same time

I don't think I would use the previous gen's wheels on the new model.

The old rims might make the car look like the old car at first glance.

I would be interested in finding out the offset of the new G's wheels. Then we could figure out what wheels will fit.

Yeah. Finding out the offsets would be important, but I really do think the new sedans can use the coupe's 19" wheels. The sport wheels on the 07 sedans are staggered with 7.5" fronts and 8.5" in the rear.

Plus, even though the coupe's and sedan's (05 & 06) sport wheels have similar design, they are pretty distinctive and would add a bit more aggressiveness to the new car.

the wheel design will go nicely but the colour of the wheels on that colour car doesn't work IMO. The wheels will not look as good as they do now on your LS. I know they looked horrible on my BS. The hyper black on the wheels darkens the overall colour of the car and don't stand out. If they were the hyper silver like the coupe's 19" or if the wheel design was like the M wheels, it will be a different story. JMHO.
