17" Stock Tires on 07X

Does anyone know what model of Goodyear Eagle tires come on the 07 G35X? I want to read some reviews before I take delivery next month to decide whether or not I need to get dedicated winter tires.

The reviews aren't great. That said, they are quiet. Maybe I'll get winter tires next year.

They are bread and butter tires, and have been around a long time. 1998 Maximas as did 1998 Audi A6's had them alike. But they're cheap to the mfg. and will also yield 50k easy (they came with my last car), so they are what they are. Poor traction in snow if you plan to use as an A/S. Figure most would get snows anyway with a G35.

haha I just put the Avon onto my Nissan this very afternoon! They've been in storage for 5 mos., only have 24 psi but I'll bump them up. I almost put one on backwards as they are directional, 2 are for the left, 2 for the right....will let you know how they are but they seem like they'll be good.

I'm talking to my dealer about a swap-out as well - thinking of maybe a set of A/S Yokohama ADVAN S.4's. Had a great experience with the Yoko AVS S/Ts for the last two years (almost 40k miles on two sets - obviously not designed to last forever, but I wasn't exactly restrained in driving style!), anyone played with the ADVANs?

Still beats what ships on a Prius : )

Sounds like I am going to have to shell out for the winters.

what do you guys think of the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50's?

Any recommendations for tires that will keep my new G safe through the Calgary winters?

I had Eagle RS-A on my previous car, PT Cruiser Turbo. It was not that great a tire really. I guess when they wear down I'll definitely switch them to another brand.

I've been a big fan of the BFGoodrich Traction T/A (H or V-rated). I have the H-rated 15" tire on my Civic right now and I love it in all weather.

Now I know the 07x has 225/55R17 for it's stock tires. I checked and the Traction T/A is available in that size, but only the Touring All-Season T-Rated version. I have heard not so great things about it and I'd prefer one of their High Performance All-Seasons (H or V-rated) like I have now. They are available in the following sizes:

215/50R17 91V
P235/45R17 93H
P245/45R17 95H

Can any of these sizes be used as a substitute for the 225/55R17?

I've run Blizzaks for the last two years and I couldn't recommend them enough.
