Tires - Sport vs. Journey

I like the look of the Sport tires and wheels, but I am unsure about 1) not being able to rotate them due to the staggered alignment and 2) will the tire life be significantly worse on the Sport tires. What should we reasonably expect as far as tire life on the Sport vs. Journey? I may be willing to pay up some for a Sport if I am not buying off on a lot of incremental maintenance costs too.

Not sure about the A/S tires, but the fronts are directional tires, meaning you can only swap them side to side (requires dismounting them off the wheel). Also, since they are of different width, you won't be able to move them front to back. Another point worth mentioning is that the spare tire is a doughnut.

As far as thread life goes, assuming you don't drive like a maniac spinning your wheels at every other traffic light, I'd say you can expect about 25-28K miles out of the Potenzas.
