I placed an order a few weeks ago and the dealer tells me that he does not think the 6MT are in production until Jan. What have you all heard?

 

The sales rep at my nearest deаler told me that they expected to get one 6MT in their initial allocation of 20 (or so) cаrs by mid-November. The deаler's current online listing of 19 cаrs - http://elkgroveinfiniti.com/new_inve...ar&SBmodel=G35
- shows precisely zero 6MTs, though, suggesting that the promised 6MT is either sold or AWOL.

On t'other hand, several of the published roаd tests were of a 6MT, and I don't think that all the testers were hand-built prototypes.

 

I placed a deposit for a 6MT that's supposed to arrive on 11/17. To everyone's surprise, it arrived two days ago -- over 1/2 month early! If you placed an order, then the car will arrive in Dec or early Jan. Yeah, it sucks, the ratio of 6MTs to Autos is crazy.

 

Trying to understand--does the dealership not actually specify what they want? Why does he "not think" the 6MTs are in production? Can't he pick up the phone and call some 800 number and find out, or simply go into his order system and order a manual, that is modify a car that he has in the system? The many posts that I've read here seem to suggest that you just take what's on the lot if you like it, you don't literally order a car, and that maybe the dealership just takes what the mfg. gives them.

 

if the dealer did not order any 6mt's in their september builds then you won't see a 6mt until january/february

 

I found out this morning that is the case. None ordered in their Sept builds. So now I patiently wait

Bham, AL dealership received 1 6MT of 12 in their first shipment. It is white and doesn't even have the Premium Package. The sales rep hasn't convinced you that the paddle shifters are just as good? Don't worry, he'll keep on trying!

 

When did this happen? I called just Monday and they told me they didin't have any on the lot.

 

Infiniti still hasn't updated the website to show 07 Coupe. Right on the ball, they are.

 

There aren't any changes to the Coupe for 07 anyways.

 

I stopped by again on Friday and the rep checked with the sales manager to see if they were getting any 6MT's in. He said that they were getting 1 white 6MT in. He called me Monday mid-morning to let me know that they were going to receive them Monday. Then he called me again on Monday afternoon to let me know that they were unloading them right now.

I have not been by to see the 6MT in person yet, but based on what he already told me, they should have one unless they already sold it. They sold the sample Thursday night at the unveiling, so I couldn't test drive it last Friday

I did see a Garnet Ember one out front last night on my way home from work - it looked really nice.

 

1,847 miles equals $1,847 off sticker plus free shipping. Right?

 

Would think the buyer has family on LI, even 2k off wouldn't be worth it, must be another reason imho....bridge alone is $9

 

nevermind, I'm an idiot, just got off the phone with a sales rep. Crown Infiniti has 07s to test drive but none in 6MT. He said it'll be a month and a half on the 6MT

I'm tired of driving my wife's old car...sure are a lot of 2 year old M3s around for sale
