Black w/wheat or Black w/Graphite

Just curious, planning on getting Rosewood trim. Which do you think would look better?

Black Obsidian w/wheat or Black Obsidian w/Graphite?

I didn't like the graphite interior with rosewood trim. My sales rep tried to push it on me, but I just couldn't get myself to like it. I would go with wheat if you want rosewood.

I think Black Obsidian w/ wheat and rosewood trim would be a knockout (IMO). That would be may choice and very well may be my choice when I eventually make a purchase.

I've seen the Graphite/Rosewood interior in photos, and it's gorgeous (and hopefully will see mine, which is in that configuration, by the end of the week). I've always been a fan of black leather in cars, and the almost monotone color scheme of the plastic trim in the G35 really helps the look. The other reason is that when you do weekend warrior stuff with skis, with hiking, etc. I just don't want to run the risk of completely fubaring wheat leather.

The contrast the satin-finished rosewood has on the graphite is also dead sexy. It really makes it have a more organic look on the inside, and I think adds a touch of sophistication you can't quite pull off with the aluminum (one of these days designers and the accountants will get together so that they can use brushed stainless instead - the "it feels like plastic!" response just isn't any fun!).

These are the color combo and interior combo's that are top on my list atm:

● Garnet Ember w/wheat leather & Rosewood
● Black Obsidan w/wheat leather & Rosewood
● Ivory Pearl w/wheat leather & Rosewood

I'm a little unsure on the IP with wheat... Got a feeling IP would look better with stone or graphite and probably better with Washi.

re. wavelengths

I was not thinking the graphite would look good with rosewood but someone posted some pics the otherday showing graphite w/rosewood and it actually
looked pretty good.

I'll have to see it in person. Unfortunately, my local Infiniti dealer was supposed to get 5 07 G's in yesterday and they did not show up. All
I've seen so far was the one sample car they had.

Well if you wait a little under a week I promise good high-res, wide-angle shots of the interior when I go pick up my baby. It's on the lot, just have to take care of a massive paperwork tangle (have to love Massachusetts sometimes) and get them to do their delivery tweaking thing. The problem is that I don't think a lot of dealers will be pulling in the loaded Rosewood cars - it's a much more of a niche segment of the G35 demographic.

But yeah, hang tight, will get you some photos to whet your appetite!

Cool

Love black cars, but they are way to hard to keep looking nice IMO.

This is what I would do:

Ivory Pearl w/Wheat Leather & Rosewood with Sport Wheels

From what I have seen from pics, I like the Rosewood with the Graphite interior much better than the wheat. I would have to see both in person to really know for sure.

wow... that's a nice looking interior in that photo. I can't believe more people are not interested in the rosewood trim. Just curious, the dash in that photo looks black, but I could swear I've seen other color dashs (stone color?). What determines the color of the dash or are they all black?

It's actually a dark beige dash - they just have great lighting setups with the studio shots of the sedan.

When I told one of my sales reps that I was interested in wheat, he started pushing the graphite saying that wheat is a bad choice...he kept saying if i get my jeans wet, the color would bleed and leave blue spots all over the wheat interior. Personally, I havent seen my jeans bleed any color and is this really an issue w/ the wheat interior. I admit, it's a bit harder to keep clean, but he makes it sound like getting wheat is a death wish.

If your lifestyle, and especially location, doesn't involve lots of dirt, filth, sweat, etc. then I think wheat would be a fine choice. I just know that I prefer graphite because of the sleeker look, but more importantly because I won't mud up the interior as much!

If you are going with the wood, get the wheat.

I just don't like light interiors because they show everything.
