Color thoughts

Went to the dealership today to check out some different colors. Thoughts...
Liquid Platinum: I was convinced this is what I was going to get, but didn't like it in person. WAY different than it looks in the brochure. It's very light silver and not a shiny silver like the previous years. Kind of dull
Garnet Ember: Too bright - almost a pink tint to the red. Would be good for some seriously spoiled teenage girl, but not for me.
Blue Slate: Nice color, very smooth. Car was a bit dirty so hard to really tell.
Platinum graphite: NICE! This was my favorite by far. Probably won't show dirt too bad and looks very refined - classy, if you will.
Didn't have any white, serengeti or others.

I'm not sure what you mean but "not a shiny silver", but I was surprised to see how light it was also. I was actually looking at getting IP, but since they don't offer IP with a graphite interior on the X, I went with liquid platinum instead.

I was originally going to buy platinum graphite, but it's a bit too dark for my taste. Looks great in bright light though.

When I was getting ready to order I was torn between Diamond Graphite and Blue Onyx. My current car is white, and my dad drives a pearlencent white Toyota Avalon so I am getting bored of IP (still a stunning car!). We both ordered new Infinitis mine is a Diamond Graphite G and he is getting a Black Obsidian FX-45. It should be riot to drive both of them!

..........
First time I've seen this impression of LP.
When I've seen it, I thought it had a good metalic content & was very shiny.

You sure it wasn't just dirty?

Get the Gunmetal Blue. It looks awesome. It is a nice compromise between BO and the DG. The Diamond Graphite looks fantastic too. Tough choice. It's like being a kid in a candy store with too many choices to make. Whatever you choose, you will be a winner, that is for sure!

Congrats to you and your dad. I can only hope to get an FX when my car is in the shop.

That's the advantage of having a local Infiniti dealership. I don't get any nice loaners......all I get is shuttled to work in a Nissan Quest.

No worries. Most times I wait or don't bother with a loaner. I've driven numerous 04, 05. 06 Fx35, G35 RW, X, I30, I35; Chev impala, malibou cars that I can remember.

I like the PG but don't feel like having a 3rd silver car in a row.
My next favorite color is Slate Blue, which I thought would be hard to convince my wife to go for, but oddly enough - she likes it. Looks like I have a winner!
