A few weeks ago a salesguy at my nearest deаler told me that they expected one 6MT in their first allocation of 21 cаrs expected in November. Well, the deаler has their 21 cаrs (according to their online inventory) but not one has the 6MT model code (90767). I called the deаler and the person I talked to confirmed that they didn't get any 6MTs in their initial allocation and didn't expect one (exactly one) until December. When I mentioned that reports of 6MT sightings were coming in from all over the U.S. and Canada, he said "but not California." I didn't ask him why that might be, although it's possible that CARB certification of the 6MT has been delayed for some reason. It's also possible that he was giving me one of the many creative lines that salespersons come up with to steer people away from an MT and towards the AT that they just happen to have in stock.

So, has anyone spotted a 6MT for sale in California yet? It's pointless to search most deаler online inventories because they seem to be updated about monthly, whether they need to or not.

 

I've been to 3 dealerships out here in the S.F. bayarea. Each dealership had 1-2 sitting on the lot!! If yah need the info, pm me!!!

 

Thanks. With your information, I can ask the deаler to search for the details of the several 6MTs in the Bay Area while they, ahem, await the arrival of the first California 6MTs in December. Those people sure want to sell the cаr they have instead of the cаr the customer wants.

 

Yes, they exist. In fact, the one I made a deposit on has arrived last week. I'm still trying to negotiate a good price. If you haven't already, ORDER ONE NOW and it should come end of Dec/Jan.

 

Im trying to close a deal too..it's a bit tough at the moment. I'm a pass vpp buyer. It's looking like I might just have to wait the 3-6 months out till the vp is active. Doesn't help out that we are after the 6mt models. They just aint getting enough out in the bayarea!!!
