Problems with new XM activation on my new g35x

I just got my X today.

Before I left the dealership I asked about XM activation and was told to just call or go online. I tried going online but it won't accept my 9 digit phone number.

So, I called up XM and tried activating by phone, but they told me I need to tell my dealership to call to get the first 3 months free. So now, I'm back to square one.

Is anyone else having problems activating XM or is it just me?

I'll post pictures of my car as soon as possible. It's going to rain for the next few days so it might be a little while before I get to it.

I called XM when I got home and had no problem getting it active. I just had to give them my info and number of my XM radio and then they said I had to leave it on for like 15 minutes. Works great!

What I'm having trouble with is getting my traffic piece active.

Called them up again and they hooked me up this time. Nav is working. I had to ask for Nav traffic separately and was told there was no trial for it.

Well if you look at your window sticker it says you get both for 3 months. You need to call them back and tell them this. When I call they tried the samething and then said ok when I pushed it. They said they would send a signal to turn it on but it didn't work so I have to call them again.

You can do this on-line at XMRADIO.COM or call them up, I did mine but did not take advantage of the free activation or 3 months free service. Have always had XM in my car, can't live without it.

The dealer should have activated the XM for you prior to delivery.

hmm I totally forgot about this. I'm only getting 3 channels on XM right now and no nav. I'm assuming this might mean my XM also hasnt' been hooked up.

I ran away with the car immediately after purcahsing it because I had to get back to work; so perhaps the dealership didn't get a chance to activate it for me, any ideas guys?

Correct your XM isn't activated yet. You have to call them to have them activate your radio and then you'll get 150+ channels.

Yeah, just call 1-800-TLC-XMXM, and provide them with your Radio ID # from Channel 0 of your system. I swear I have over 200+ channels...

But when I sign up for an online account, it doesn't work. It can't find my radio ID. And I can't get XM traffic working.

You cannot get XM traffic working, or cannot get XM traffic activated?

I called in to activate my XM radio, but was I supposed to tell them I wanted the 3-month trial of the traffic, too?

Yes. You need to let them know you want Nav Traffic also. I was told it wasn't part of the 3-month trail so you might have argue with them a bit.

Where do I find my XM radio ID? I have 8-10 channels of XM that work now, but I can't seem to get to channel 0.
