I'm getting 17+ mpg city driving. I take allot of short trips (less than 15 miles), but I still drive about 300 miles in a week.

JWANGSDC,
I also have a X and live in Wash DC. I have traveled in traffic and backroads, highway. etc. Myreadout says 20.9 mpg. I have calculated by the fill up divide by gallons method and show 22.74 mpg. 14 is out of the question....Maybe something wrong. I know the first tank I realy babied the throttle. I couldn't get the readout above 18 or so. When I drove normal, but race like, the mileage shot up. Maybe a glitch in the fuel management programming.

So basically, you drive it harder and get better MPG? That sounds awesome, I can't wait till I pass the 1200 mile mark.

Weird. Just had my second fill up today. The first one I got 18.6mpg. This time, I got a whopping 23.9mpg!!! But how can that be? I drove a bit harder this time, too, revved occasionally to 4000rpms. I didn't get close to 24 even in my Mazda6 (also a v6).
Correction: I actually didn't fill it up all the way. The nozzle was kind of messed up, and I had to manually hold it in. So the gauge doesn't point to F exactly. My goal is still to reach 20mpg.

My 03.5 6mt averaged 25 mpg on the freeway doing a steady 70-75 mph.
About 6 months ago, I put on the Stillen SC. I was told that the gas mileage would be horribly affected, but I ended up averaged 24 mpg on the freeway doing a steady 80-85 mph.
Getting hard on it while it was naturally aspirated I would get about 16 mpg. Now, getting hard on it I average about 13 with the SC.

Had my 07 G35 sedan for 1 week now. 3 fillups 18.7, 20.8 and 22.1. All mixed, except a bit more freeway on this last one. I figured this wasn't going to be a stellar mph car, but that's OK. This is my "fun - zoom" car. I have a 1 year old Prius for my practical mileage car and that gets between 45 and 52. So I figure between the 2 of them I have (2) 35mpg cars! It seems like this car will probably achieve a good 25mpg or more on mostly freeway trips if I don't go too crazy. But it's hard not to want to give it the gas when you have a car as cool as this one. Having a blast.

Not bad MPG so far.

My experience tells me the car's automatic reading is always 1/2 mpg overrated. In other words, if it shows you 21mpg, it really is 20.5mpg. Tested it on my 04 coupe for 2 yrs and 20-something thousand miles. It was constantly .5 mpg over my calculation (fill up reading when compared to miles driven).
