So I programmed my key fob to disable to horn when you lock/unlock the car using the fob buttons. You press and hold the two bottons together. Also, when I use the door handle buttons to lock/unlock, there's no "chirping" either.

My trunk, however, still causes a chirp when a press the button. The car chirps 4 times. According to the manual, no chirping and horn sound should occur. Any ideas? I love my car to be as stealth as possible.

And has anyone gotten touch up paint? I emailed my dealership hoping for a complimentary bottle. Still waiting for a response. I want to submit a sample of the Blue Slate K52 paint to bumperplugs.com.

 

Anyone? Can someone try it with their keyfob?

Yep I get the beeps too when I open the trunk.

Just checked mine.

When I use the keyfob to unlock the trunk no beep.

When I lock the car doors using the keyfob I get one beep.

When I unlock the car doors using the keyfob I get no beeps.

I also noticed that when I walk away from the car in about 30 seconds the car locks itself, no beep. All you here is the locks. Sure enough when I check the doors they were locked. So I used the keyfob to unlock them again and then walked away and again the car locked itself.

What? Where? I didn't say that.

 

I think there's no beep when you unlock the trunk when your horn setting is set to on. I have my horn off, and my beeps are off, too, but only for the door handles. I can't see to turn off the beeping for EVERYTHING -- including trunk.
