Already had a deal just about completed with Audi for an Allroad. I definitely wanted the FX though. So there is a "way"...sorta.
i'm gong to have to go with N50..i'm not a g35 owner, but i was able to get my car for 5k off MSRP. Navi + Bluetooth + preforated leather + spoiler etc... i got my price because i went around with many dealers and bargained back and forth...
APA in Ontario
If you live in Ontario you can use a service callled APA (Automobile Protection Agency). Through them you can get about $3,100 off of MSRP (it's invoice +$1,500+$70 to join plus another $65 fee). Better than paying MSRP which is what most dealers seem quite firm on...

Again, I respectfully disagree. The fact that you had a deal on an Allroad indicates you're not certain you will be buying the FX35. The internet and sites likes edmunds eliminates the need to go back and forth, you can get 5 quotes with a simple mouseclick. There's no mystery as to what everyone else is paying.
I think the fact that we drive off the lot in a new car indicates very clearly that the dealer made some good money. We can do our best to make sure the dealer makes the least possible, and that we pay the least possible, but don't think you're getting one over on the dealer if you made a purchase.
imho the greatest advantage to the buyer is knowing where you're going and at what price when/if the dealer you're at gives you a lame price. If you turn around to leave and $1000 pops out of nowhere, you keep walking. That's me. That's like when you've accepted a new job, and your current employer offers you another 15k to stay. Very rarely is it wise to stay.
hmm.. i've done my dealings online. I talked to 5 dealers.
Place A gave me a quote
I talked to place B with Place A quote
Place B beat that quote
I went to Place C and said Place B gave me this quote
Finally at place E said, "this is invoice, take it"

err.. let me clear it up ... stick MSRP with all my option showed.. i think 41k ... i got it down for 36100 ... so there's my savings... i really think if you spend your time researching and knowing what cost is.. you can get it... you also need to go in at the right time.. there is a supply and demand issue... but there are loop holes... you just need to find it if you're going in for a great deal...
i'm hearing people getting 335 bout 1.5k over invoice.. which is pretty damn good considering the demand on those cars...
Know the invoice of the values of the car and don't rush.. if you rush you might regret it... i rushed into a deal because they gave me invoice... i guess that's the only time when you need to rush.. i looked into g35, but my friend who owns one had told me not to get one... 07' sedan looks hella nice~~~
