+1 Shane

I agree that this would be the wrong thing to do in a residential area as it could be very dangerous. Regardless of location of the test drive I also agree with Shane when he says that he wouldn't want to buy anything from that lot. Just imagine if they went out for the test drive in your new G for the PDI and they drove the s**t out of it! I would definitely go to another dealer. That is a very scary story to me as a consumer that will be spending a good chunk of my income on a beautiful new car. Maybe I am young and inexperienced but this is the biggest purchase I have ever made, excluding my home. I expect that the sales people that represent my dealer will be professionals and treat each and every car on that lot with absolute respect. This is not a civic si, they don't advertise the car by the sound of it hitting the rev limiter!

Even if the factory will cover any damage that was done to the car during the test drive period, it would be horrible to have to go through all that trouble with warranty because you were sold an abused vehicle.

maybe my attitude on this is different because im 16 (damn right it is!) but yea sure, the guy was extremely unprofessional and he shouldve never done it....but do you actually think someone will buy a brand new car and get that one...HELL NO!!! those are demos that they sell for cheap, so if u invest money on a brand new g, u will get a brand new g. in this case at least, who knows what dealers do to ur car when it comes off the docks! LMAO!!!! i wish i was in the car when he was doing this shyt

Every dealership will do a test drive as a part of the predelivery inspection, now imagine that YOUR brand new G is test driven by an unprofessional associate like this! Suddenly your brand new car isn't any better than the abused demo! That is why I agree you should not buy any car from that dealership, not just because the demo was abused.

Exactly. That's why you never buy a demo no matter how low the mileage is. If a salesman ever tries to "work some magic" for you with the sales manager on a 800-1200 mile car, turn around and never go back there. It's the oldest trick in their book to unload known abused cars on the unsuspecting. Look at the great deal I got honey. It has "only" 1100 miles. LOL!

They should be peeling the shipping plastic off the paint on the car you take home. Once that hymen has been busted, you just never know what you might get.

Tim, how did that power of the car feel? Comparable to the Stillen???? Ha ha... but seriously. How did it compare to your car before the Stillen as well. Got to let us know since you were able to get on it pretty hard man.

It is a quick car. It felt very nice!
It is hard to judge between my car before the SC with a spacer, z-tube, intake and exhaust and the new one. If I had to guess it would be that the new G was faster but maybe it was because I was not expecting it. Either way it is a great car!

Which dealership? I always take mine to Infiniti of Scottsdale, seems to have good people there. Do you recommend a different place?

Id rather look at the bright side than the pesimistic side...

This salesman is a pretty cool unique guy

haha the salesman that went along with me did something similar. when he was driving he was goin 60-70mph on a straightaway then all of a sudden whips a 90 degree right turn without braking onto this hidden driveway/road. scared the hell out of me but it was fun.

The dangerous driving through traffic, not good for a salesman. But to freak about getting an abused car? No , I won't be doing doughnuts in mine. But, If 3 doughnuts and some fast driving is abuse and dooming, then I don't want that model period. If a G can't take that I'm sure alot of cars from owners on this site would be in the shop right now.

It has nothing to do with whether the G can "take" it or not....it is more the principal than anything else. Unless this car will be used for demonstration only and will not be sold to any customers, this saleman acted irresponsibly IMO.

I know that you have an 07 on the way so let me ask you this. Would you take delivery of your G if you knew that yours was driven like this before break-in and someone did doughnuts in it?

You're right, it's not the fact if the G can take it or not. If it was my car, I wouldn't want someone to be going around and doing that kind of bs...I'd feel tainted, it's like some dude taking ur girl out for a spin...but unlike a girl, the G can't do anything about it haha.
