Moral of the story: If you happen to be in/around Phoenix, go and test drive the exact same LS at that dealership. It'll make you want to buy a G35 that same day, but like DWP said, just don't buy the same car you test drove.

All I will say is it's not that one.

I will find out next time I am in there. We were not sure if they got a good look at who was driving it but if they wanted to find out it would not be hard. He could have always blamed it on me. They didn't take my ID or anything so if anything comes down on him I bet he would.

Back in 95, I bought a 92 Maxima that was a Program Car. I suspect it too had been heavily abused. It threw a rod at 52,000 miles and the new engine cost me nearly $3,000! I imagine that may be the fate of that Lakeshore Slate G.

According to that breakin article...you may have broken int he G better than babying it. Just means you should get an oil change ASAP whenever you get a new car with over 10 miles on it.

Yeah that article was interesting. You never really know what's best. Either way, I don't want that G!

OK, well if that's your analogy, are you telling me NOBODY took your girlfriend out for a spin before you met her? And I'm guessing they didn't take it easy on her all the time either. But sure, I'd rather have a car with zero on the odometer(had a few girls that way too back in the day), but these engines have been put through their paces abit anyway. And if your buying the demo car, think how you drove it when no one was lookin. You know what your getting when you buy the demo.

If there is a moral to this story...would you say that it is to check the insides of the rear wheel wells for burnt rubber before you sign on the dotted line?

Outside the box dude. You wouldn't let someone borrow your car knowing that they'd be mashing your car all the time would you? Even if ur buying a used a car, who knows what they did, but the fact of the matter is...is that you bought it, it's yours now, and you would want someone to treat your car the way you treat it.

+1.

Not only is it irresponsible towards his employer and the future buyer of that car but it would make me shop elsewhere. Why deal with idiots?
