Tires for 19 inch RIMS for my 07 G Sedan

Got Volk SF Challenge's coming next week...

Front 19 x 8.5
Rear 19 x 9.5

I'm thinking about Goodyear F1-GSD3's

Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/35/19

I'm not a tire expert. Good choice?

Let us know if a 275 will fit in the rear, I have a set of rims from my coupe and I want to see if they'll fit on my sedan. I doubt it due to the offset, but we'll see.

I think those Goodyears are a great tire. Either Car and Driver or Road & Track has a tire comparison test w/ those tires in this month's issue and they did really well.

However, I think your sizes are off.

The stock tires are either 225-55-17 which has an overall diameter of 26.74" or, if you have the stock 18" rims: F: 225-50-18 = 26.86" and R: 245-45-18 = 26.68".

The front tire of 245-35-19 is only 25.75". This means, the front wheel well gap, which is already big as it is, will look even bigger with that tire you chose up front. I would recommend F: 245-40-19 = 26.72". For the rear, iI would go with 285-35-19 = 26.85" which would match the stock rolling diameter better.

I needed a +55 offset in the rear to get a 275 on the back of my sedan. I am interested to see if the 07 G will have the same issues.

I think you're right Alter. That's assuming a 285 will fit on the rear. They should, the wheel tubs take up 1/2 the trunk
