A little disappointed
A little disappointed
Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people agree and disagree, probably more disagreeing on what I think about the new 2007 G35 Sedan.
Nice car, but for some reason I like the 2006 model better! The 2007 sedan seems kinda smaller, more compact than the previous generation of G sedans. I watched the 27 min video from Agent Smith or whoever that dude is and I thought the ride was pretty tight, although he did discourage me when he disliked the higher rpm acceleration...
Anyway, I looked at one up close @ my local dealer, and I hate to say that I wasn't TOO impressed. It's like an 2007 M35 Jr.
Let's hope the next gen coupe kicks some ***. If it wasn't for the coupe, and I was gonna get an infiniti sedan, it would definately be the M35. That ****er is huge and very sexy. I love how big the headlights are on that thing... It's a beast!!!!

Actually the '07 is bigger then the '06 but I agree that in some ways it seems smaller. I know the trunk is smaller. But overall I think the new style of the '07 is beautiful. I love the M35 and wanted one and that is why I like the new G35 because in many ways it is a mini M35. You need to test drive one.
I don't currently own a G but even I could tell the difference as soon as I hopped into the driver's seat. As of now, it looks like Infiniti really did a bang up job on this car, styling and performance wise. We will see two years down the road how well the cars are holding up. I'm hoping there won't be too many rattles, etc.
I'll agree as well. The '07 makes the '06 and < look about 10 Yrs. behind the times in every category, and that's what a successful replacement should do.

I prefer the look of the 2007. I test drove a 2007 only, never tried the 2006. I currently drive an A4 and would change for a 2005 because aq new car is too expensive. But I'm aiming to keep the A4 long enough to be able to pick a 2007 on the used market.

I do like the 07' G35 on how they did the interior. The interior is very nice and I liked how they did the navigation system. I'm just saying if you're going sedan, you might as well get the M35 instead. But I definately wanna see what the new generation G coupe is all about.
I friend of mine was interested in a pre-07 G. I half talked him out of it. Once I saw and researched the 07' , I ordered one. Obviously you know my opinion, but both are nice cars. As far as the 07 appearing smaller, The only thing I noticed is pre-07 rear seats recline, 07 don't due to more slope resulting in a little head room loss in the back. But they do claim more rear legroom. And the 07 interior is really sharp.
