Wheels

I love the new G, but am disappointed in the wheels. I love the wheels on my 2005 - it seems to me like they took a step backwards in this area. Am I the only one?

I have an 03.5 6mt sedan. I like the lines more on the 03 than the 07, especially over the rear trunk. I would love to have those front lights and grille on the 07 though. Regards the interior and motor... The 07 is hands down superior. Props to those that have the 07.

If I could have the 07 interior and motor and headlights and grille put on my 03 sedan. That would be sweet.

I can't stand the 07 trunk or hood. Actually, I hate them. The car also at certain angles looks really chunky like it fell off of the Jenny Craig diet.

With all that said. When the 08 coupe comes out, its mine.

I haven't seen the wheels in person yet so I can only base my opinions off of pictures. I think the wheels on the 07 G are pretty nice. They are nothing spectacular, but still nice. Overall though, I think Infiniti is lacking in the wheel department.....especially when compared to BMW. Bimmer really has some nice looking wheel choices IMO.

On the flip side, I think the wheels on the M, FX and the Coupe Concept are smokin' hot.

i dont understand whats the big deal that it looks a little bit like the Infiniti M??

The M is a good looking car, so i rather them take some styling cues from the M instead of trying to do what the american car companies are doing like chrysler trying to make all their cars have the same FUGLY design!!!!

No, definitely not like those....they are very plain and ugly. Some of the wheels in this thread I really like.

I didn't know even the M35 and M45 were practically the same car. So Let me rephrase it for you. If you're going Sedan, you might as well go for the M

That's it! I couldn't have said it better myself.

It's not just you. I like them too. After 4 years of the old ones I was ready for a change. They look great, I like the color and they are easy to clean.

I have seen the 2007 up close....and still bought the 2006 pricisely because of the change in looks....the 1st generation had a original beauty that was new and classic IMO. As far as being 10 years behind....I would say the new G was like a couple of years ahead....clearly the 2007 had built on the success on the 2002 to 2006 models for sure. I just wished they would have kept the more distinct look of the original car as far as the front. The tandem head lights look pretty fierce coming at you at night....

My next Infiniti purchase though will most likely be the 2010 coupe...by then the bugs will be all engineered out by then...and hopefully run at 0 to 60 at 4.5 secs

Nope - by 2010, they would have a new motor and you'll be the owner of a new gen. doing free beta testing for Infiniti

Hate to tell you this but the G which is the Skyline in Japan has at least couple of models proceeding it. So the "first" generation G is not really the first production model.

I like the 2007 but I have a feeling they going to add the bigger engine in the upcoming years. Notice Infiniti is advertising the Car as the "G" and not G35.
